🌟 Welcome to Pennywell Early Years Centre

At Pennywell Early Years Centre, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children aged 4 months to 5 years can thrive. As one of Sunderland’s six maintained nursery schools, we pride ourselves on our inclusive approach and commitment to excellence.

Located in the heart of Pennywell in Sunderland, in the beautiful Northeast of England, Pennywell Early Years Centre is a maintained nursery school with a proud history of serving our local community. We are passionate about giving every child the best possible start in life, offering a rich, stimulating, and caring environment where learning is exciting and meaningful.

🏫 Why Choose a Maintained Nursery School?

As a maintained nursery school, Pennywell Early Years Centre benefits from being part of the local authority education system. This means:

  • We are led by a headteacher and managed by a governing body, similar to a primary school.
  • We have qualified teachers and highly experienced early years practitioners on our team.
  • We are regularly inspected by Ofsted and maintain the highest standards of education and care.
  • Our approach is focused on inclusive, high-quality early years education, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

This strong structure gives our families the reassurance that their children are receiving the very best foundation for their future learning journey.

🏆 Our Commitment to Excellence

We are proud to have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in all areas of our provision. Our experienced team is passionate about early childhood education, ensuring each child receives personalised attention to foster their development and well-being.
