Welcome to the Baby Nest and Snug – A Home from Home for Our Youngest Learners
At Pennywell Early Years Centre, we offer two carefully designed baby rooms, The Nest and The Snug – providing a warm, nurturing start to your child’s journey with us.
Both rooms offer the same high-quality care, consistent routines, and rich early experiences that support each baby’s emotional, physical, and communication development. With cosy, home-like environments and a strong focus on relationships, our baby rooms are calm and welcoming spaces where babies feel safe, loved, and secure.
The Nest is a smaller, more intimate space, ideal for our youngest babies as they settle into nursery life.
The Snug offers the same opportunities and level of care but within a slightly larger room with a few more children – perfect for those ready for a busier setting while still receiving the close, individual attention they need.

❤️The indoor environment is carefully tailored to meet the needs of babies and toddlers, offering soft furnishings, natural resources, and stimulating sensory experiences that encourage curiosity and early exploration. Every corner is designed to be safe, inviting, and developmentally appropriate, allowing each child to thrive at their own pace. Our babies feel safe, loved, and ready to explore.
🌼Outdoors, our newly designed, bespoke baby garden offers a secure and stimulating extension of the Baby Nest and Snug learning environments. Carefully created with our youngest children in mind, this unique outdoor space provides endless opportunities for exploration and discovery. Babies can enjoy fresh air, engage with nature, and begin developing key physical skills through safe, age-appropriate play. From soft surfaces for crawling and cruising, to natural sensory elements and sheltered areas for all-weather access, every feature of the garden has been thoughtfully crafted to support early development and inspire joyful, confident movement.
🏡We pride ourselves on offering a home from home experience, where your child’s well-being and development are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated baby rooms follow a 1:3 adult-to-child ratio, ensuring each baby receives the individual care and attention they need to thrive. Each member of our baby team is specially trained in infant care and development, offering expert, sensitive support through these all-important early months and years.
👶To foster strong, nurturing relationships, every child is assigned a key person, a familiar adult who will form a close, trusting bond with your baby and with you as parents. Your child’s key person will get to know them deeply, understanding their routines, preferences, and personality, and will be there to offer consistent emotional support throughout their time in the Baby Nest and Snug.
✨We know how special every moment is, and with our Learning Journal app, your key person will keep you updated with regular photos, observations, and milestones, so you’ll always feel connected to your child’s learning journey, even when you’re apart.
