At Pennywell Early Years Centre, we are committed to giving every child the best possible start to their learning journey. One way we do this is through the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP).

💡 What is EYPP?
The Early Years Pupil Premium is extra funding provided by the government to early years settings like ours, to help improve outcomes for children who may need a little extra support.
Children may be eligible for EYPP if their family is receiving certain benefits, or if they have been in care or adopted. This funding is available for 2, 3 and 4-year-olds who are accessing their free early education entitlement.
🌱 How Do We Use the EYPP?
We use this funding to help close the gap in learning and development, ensuring all children have equal opportunities to thrive. At Pennywell, EYPP is used to:
- Provide targeted small group activities and one-to-one support
- Purchase high-quality resources and learning materials
- Deliver training and development for staff to improve teaching and learning
- Support children’s communication, language, and social-emotional development
- Work closely with families to strengthen learning at home
Every penny of the EYPP is thoughtfully planned for and evaluated to ensure it is making a real difference.
📘 Our Current EYPP Plan
We carefully review and evaluate our EYPP spending each academic year. Our plan sets out how we are using the funding and the impact it’s having on children’s progress.
